Was responsible for providing support to the Director of the Genomic Surveillance Unit (GSU) in strategic planning and implementations. Alongside providing assurance to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the GSU that the Unit operates on a financially viable basis, ensured compliance with all internal policies, processes and procedures and navigated the operational requirements of working with partners and managed exceptions to minimise risk.
With an awareness of the bigger picture across Sanger and in the context of genomics and global health, she developed and implemented proportional and pragmatic systems that facilitated the international-scale projects and partnerships necessary to become the world leader in delivering longitudinal genomic data on important pathogen and vector species
