I am from Uruguay, South America, where I got a BSc. In Biochemistry at the University of the Republic. After receiving my degree, I worked as a Bioinformatician for several years until I moved my career onto research management. I have worked in research administrative/management support in the University of the Republic in Uruguay as well as in University of Cambridge, Cambridge University Press, Journal of General Virology and the EBI in the UK. I also have a drama degree from the Multidisciplinary School of Dramatic Arts in Uruguay. I am extremely passionate about the performing arts having worked in theatre for several years as an actress, director and producer. I also work with groups to integrate drama-based techniques to facilitate team building, communications and creativity. I love cooking, walking, watching series, reading and, most importantly, spending time with my family and friends.
