Having working in the Garnett lab at the Sanger Institute for a year and a half I left the lab in September 2021 to pursue a PhD at the Babraham Institute.
I graduated with a BSc in Genetics from the University of Leicester. During my undergraduate studies I completed an industrial placement year in the genomics team of the Target and Pathway Validation unit. This role focused on the validation of proprietary cell culture systems against corresponding tissue for the purpose of studying epithelial development by utilising scRNA-seq approaches.
During my time in the Garnett Lab I contributed to the completion of a number ENCORE CRISPR screening libraries in both breast and colorectal cell lines.
