George is a Research Governance Manager at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. After four years with the Health Research Authority working with NHS REC’s to advise and provide guidance and support in the review of ethical approvals; George shifted his focus and joined us at the Wellcome Sanger Institute as a Research Governance Officer.
In this role George made great strides with the in-house due diligence tool HuMFre, building on its use within the Research Governance team and transforming it into a system for researchers across Sanger. In his relatively recent role as Research Governance Manager, George has invoked significant and impactful change to the team with recruitment and expansion and helped build the Research Governance team of today.
