Business Support Manager

I lead the Business Support function in Scientific Operations.

My role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities within Scientific Operations. I work closely with the Scientific Operations leadership team, senior managers, and key business partners across the organisation to support and develop initiatives that align with our strategic priorities. My focus areas include enhancing communication, fostering information sharing, and strengthening governance processes. Additionally, I collaborate with colleagues to design, implement, and optimise key business processes that improve efficiency, increase collaboration, and ensure a cohesive, coordinated approach across the department.

As leader of the SciOps Business Support function, I manage a team of skilled and professional Business Support Administrators. My team deliver high-quality executive support to senior leadership, manage and administer governance processes, and develop innovative tools and processes to enhance efficiency and information sharing.

Beyond my core responsibilities, I am an active member of the Race Equity Network on campus, a trained Mental Health First Aider, and a participant in the on-campus mentoring scheme.

I am deeply passionate about management and leadership. My aim is to inspire, empower, and support individuals to thrive in their current roles while progressing towards their career aspirations. I take pride in creating high-performing, collaborative teams founded on trust, mutual respect, and kindness.
