Sinéad Calnan

Wildlife Compliance Officer

Sinéad works within Research Governance, undertaking Wildlife Compliance Assessments for plant and animal species submitted to various programmes at the Wellcome Sanger institute.

Sinéad graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

She spent many years travelling and working abroad before finally settling in the UK.

Some previous roles include working for an Environment Consultancy, a Scientific Publisher and an ethical fundraising organisation.   Sinéad is delighted to have the opportunity to bring her passion for science and the natural world to the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
