Over the past few years I have been working on the Vertebrates Genomes Project (VGP) and Tree of Life at the Sanger Institute and University of Cambridge, sequencing reference quality genomes across vertebrate species with particular focus on fish. Additionally I am investigating the genome evolution of the Antarctic notothenioid fish radiation. 

Past and continuous activities involve exploring biodiversity of freshwater and marine ecosystems using High Throughput Sequencing applications like metabarcoding of environmental DNA (eDNA) and metagenomics.
