We drive forward the organisation’s ambitions programme of equality, diversity and inclusion activities and events. We help to catalyse organisational change, develop partnerships, communicate activities as well as strive to influence at a national and international level.
Women are represented in diminishing proportions as career levels progress and significant numbers of women leave science altogether. Scientists from marginalised groups such as LGBT+, Black, Asian, Minority and Ethnic and disabled scientists also do not achieve success at the same rates as their counterparts. With partners on the Wellcome Genome Campus we address and explore these issues.
