Sequencing tardigrade (water bears) genomes using novel ultra-low input method to uncover their evolutionary history,especially mechanisms underlying cryptobiotic abilities of these animals.
I am a tardigrade taxonomist interested in evolutionary history of these animals. Currently my aim is to generate high quality reference tardigrade genomes to elucidate the evolution of molecular mechanisms underlaying the cryptobiotic abilities (mainly anhydrobiosis) of water bears.
