Anh Phuong Le
PhD Student
I am a PhD student under Mike Stratton and Peter Campbell.
My research into the non-malignant colon hopes to reveal mutational processes that could lead to cancer development. These mutational processes could be as simple as our diets and lifestyle, therefore they are very preventable once identified. My work relies on the Laser Capture Microdissection and the Sequencing technologies supported by the Wellcome Sanger Institute. I also aim to make sure the data generated undergo carefully designed analyses with high quality algorithms to provide meaningful and unbiased interpretation.
For me, Sanger has been an enjoyable journey where I learn something new everyday alongside extremely supportive supervisors and colleagues.
Have a look at some of my public pet projects that are under development during my time at Sanger.
