Lauretta Lamont
Employee Engagement Partner
I am responsible for the Great Place to Work Survey and Charitable Giving Strategy, including volunteering and fundraising. I work closely with the Head of Health & Safety to ensure we have an employee wellbeing strategy and interventions that encourage healthy lifestyles to our employees and promote our benefits such as discounted gyms and sports classes as well as free employee assistance programme and talking therapy (counselling).
I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and facilitate a team of volunteers in this role to ensure we have the appropriate resources to carry out our duties to the best of our ability and support our colleagues.
We encourage two-way communication and employee feedback and I manage our Employee Partnership team of staff representatives and their feedback portal ‘Focus’ which enables employees to suggest simple workplace ideas that we can implement to make their working lives easier and better.
As an experienced Employee Communications professional I will aim to collaborate and understand the key engagement drivers for the organisation, launching programmes that support our employees, their values and wellbeing, and our local communities.
Working across campus and with appropriate strategic and charitable partners, engaging and communicating will be key to demonstrating the role everyone has to play in the ground-breaking medical research and world-class science the organisation delivers.
It is a truly inspiring place to work and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to be part of it at this exciting time.
