Anna is a Research Associate at the Sanger Institute in Oliver Stegle's and Nicole Soranzo's groups. She obtained a PhD in Statistical Genetics and her expertise lies at the intersection between statistical genetics and single-cell genomics, and in the development of computational and statistical tools to analyse such data.

Anna is a Research Associate at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. She previously completed a PhD in Statistical Genetics at the University of Cambridge and the European Bioinformatics Institute, under the joint supervision of Oliver Stegle and John Marioni. Her research interests lie in the fields of statistical genetics, computational biology, single cell biology and technologies, and machine learning. Her work is concerned with the development of integrative statistical models to link DNA variants to single cell expression profiles, to uncover molecular mechanisms that might help us interpret and unravel the genotype-phenotype map. She has contributed to analyses of data from the HipSci consortium and the single-cell eQTLGen consortium.
